Divisions and Conferences

Divisions were yesterday, we beat Northville by 93 points. We won the division and will most likely win the Conference. We will be the last WLAA Boys Swimming Champions and the first KLAA Champions. Now that we have beaten Northville they have no shot at beating us at the Conference meet Saturday.

We beat Northville

Last night February 5, 2009 Stevenson High School beat Northville. We won 114 to 71, which is very good on Stevenson's part.

Seniors and Captains

We have 19 seniors this year and that is half of our team. Next year we will not have that many people. The only way to have that same amount of swimmers is to recruit incoming freshman or get freshman this year. There were only four freshman this year. We need more class of 2012 swimmers.

Our rival Northville

We have a home meet tonight against our long time rival Northville. We have a strong team with depth, but they do not have enough fire power to beat us. We will lose the diving portion of the meet, only because we have one diver and they have three. This meet will be a great one.

Swimming for stevenson has been the best part of going to Stevenson so far. All the activities, all the practices we have with eachother, and of course the most spectacular morning practices. All the seniors are great people. Brandon Bielicki and I are the only two freshman on varsity, so it is really cool to be one of the few people to be on varsity.

mr. Shoemaker on phelps

This week Micheal Phelps was accused of smoking pot. The coach of Stevenson swimming told them all as a joke, smoking pot does not make you a faster swimmer. We all laughed.

Next Meets

The next meet for stevenson boys is on Thursday, February 5. This meet is a home meet, at 6:30 against their rival Northville. Both teams are doing well. Stevenson has two more meets till the conference and state meet. The other meet is next Thursday, February 12. This one is a cross over meet. This means that Stevenson will play a team from the other side of the conference. They don't know who they are playing yet.

SHS vs. Novi disqualifications

Last night Stevenson guy's swim team went up against Novi High School. The Spartans won the meet in a land slide. The second heat of the meet Stevenson's relay was disqualified. Apperently the third leg of the relay left early. Coach Shoemaker was very mad. On the last heat of the night the relay was disqualified again for leaving early. This was the best time any of the relays have gone for the whole entire year.
